Studies of the Chilled Water Distribution Network Covered by Chiller House No. 4

To achive the new capacity 5.2 Milion tons/year steel , Khuzestan Steel Company sould install a new arc furnace no.7 , a wide slab , a new electrical substation 801 , a new SVC F and a new switchgear , these new facilities need chilled water for cooling.The study of chilled water distribution network covered by a new Chiller House No.4 has been placed on the agenda of Khuzestan steel company. Since cooling systems or equipment requiring chilled water are necessary for cooling these units and their equipment, chilled water supply must be considered accordingly. Based on the studies conducted on water supply projects for SVC units and the cooling studies of the new and existing switchgear buildings and the related control room, supplying the required chilled water for the aforementioned units from Chiller Houses No. 2 and No. 3 has been determined to be infeasible.

At present, Basic engineering of chiller house and hydraulic analysis of consumers distribution networks has been completed and submitted to client.
